Plow & Hearth {Review & $50 Gift Card Giveaway}

By Heather

Winner – Leticia

Of all the catalogs I receive in my mailbox, the one I look forward to getting and actually read is Plow & Hearth.  Most of the others end up in the circular file.  Plow & Hearth offers a hand-picked selection of items for people, homes, and gardens – much of it with a country theme.

63769eI’ve always associated the brand with high-quality items, and rightly so.  In searching through the site I found a section dedicated to footwear and apparel.  I had not previously noticed such items in their catalong, and they did tempt me, but I continue to be drawn to their household products.

The majority of the flooring in our home is either hardwood, tile or laminate.  All hard surfaces which I love, but over the span of a day they kill my feet and contribute to back pain.  We recently added a few rug runners to help combat this, but nothing comes close to the comfort I get from this Anti-Fatigue mat that Plow & Hearth sent me.

I didn’t particularly care for the way it was packaged though.  It was rolled into the box, and when I first unpacked it there were a ton of wrinkles.  I quickly unrolled the mat and left it that way on the floor for a few days as instructed, but after a week all of the wrinkles still haven’t disappeared.  I’m hoping that if I give it another week or so that the wrinkles will all eventually fade.IMG_3858

Even though Plow & Hearth pictures the item in a garage setting, it’s way too nice to be in a garage.  It has a pretty basketweave design.  I even struggle with putting it in the laundry room, though the mocha color matches my floor there so well and may even make laundry a little less painful. Plus is washable and anti-microbial; yep – it’s going in the laundry room!
