The Easter bunny will definitely be bringing delicious candy for the kids this year, but we don’t like it to be all candy. We like to include toys, games and other useful non-food items in their baskets. We just discovered a great new alternative to easter candy and it’s called Jumping Jack.
Made by Goliath, Jumping Jack is perfect for easter with its bunny theme, but it can be enjoyed all year long. There are lots of games out there to choose from, but I’ve found few that don’t end in tears of frustration. Jumping Jack is a breath of fresh air; It’s easy for young kids to follow the rules but t’s also a lot of fun – even for adults.
The object of the game is not to see who gets the most carrots. In this game, whoever catches Jumping Jack wins! Each player (up to 4) gets a basket. Flick the spinner to see how many carrots you have to pick from Jack’s garden. You keep playing until Jack jumps. It’s exciting because no one knows when it will happen. And best of all, there are no sore losers, because everyone is having too much fun playing.
Emma and I were playing last night and when Ryan hobbled over we decided to make the game even easier and instead of spinning to play we took turns removing one carrot at a time until Jack leapt from the garden.
The retail price for Jumping Jack is $24.99, but I found it for less on Amazon.
