New Skincare Routine with Olay Regenerist Luminous #LuminousGlow

Earlier this month, I told you that I’d be reviewing the new Olay Regenerist Luminous boutique products. I have been using all three products for about a week now. Here are my thoughts:

Olay Regenerist Luminous Brightening Cream Cleanser
In winter I try not to over-wash my face, because my skin is very sensitive and dry this time of year. Built into this formula are tiny exfoliating beads that ever so gently slough away dry patches to reveal smooth skin. They’re so small you can barely feel them which is great. The cleanser conditions at the same time to prevent dryness in the future.

ORLcleanser

Up until now, I used another Olay cleanser, one without the micro beads. I give this one an edge because I like those little scrubbers. It smells great too – a light floral scent.

Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream Perhaps my favorite of all three products is this moisturizer. I love a thick face cream and this one feels so nice going on, hydrates my skin perfectly all while smelling lovely. It smells just like the cleanser.

ORLcream

While I haven’t been using it long enough to tell, it is supposed to make your skin look more youthful after just two weeks of use, and after eight weeks it promises to fade dark spots and discoloration. I love it even if I doesn’t deliver on these promises but if it does, I’m in for the long haul.

Olay Regenerist Luminous Dark Circle Correcting Hydraswirl It’s so hard to get rid of dark under-eye circles. I’ve tried getting more sleep, makeup and even cucumbers. Nothing seems to work very well, so I had high hopes for this product. After eight weeks, Olay claims that discoloration will be “visibly diminished”. I haven’t owned the product for eight weeks.

ORLeye

What I can tell you about this product is that it feels refreshing when applied around the eyes. It does have a shimmery effect to it similar to what you see in certain eyeshadows, so I’m not sure if that’s the brightening effect they’re talking about, or if it will actually fade dark spots on your skin.

The Hyrdaswirl comes in a tiny container and the product only holds .5 ounce within the swirl inside, but you don’t need more than a dot for a two-eye application.

Olay is good stuff. That is what my mother always used when I was growing up!
