Possibly my favorite things about visiting Montreal were the chocolate croissants the restaurant inside hotel Novatel served for breakfast. Oh so yummy. I’d been planning on recreating them myself for a loong time, only instead of French chocolate, I’d use Italian Nutella. Nutella Croissants, instead of Novatel Croissants.
Nutella needs no other ingredient. To enjoy it, you need only spoon. Or your finger. I won’t tell.
Here is a simple dessert/breakfast/snack that you can make using just a banana, crescent rolls, and nutella, duh. Using the reduced-fat crescent rolls makes me feel a little bit better about myself, but you can use whatever type you like best.
And in full disclosure, I didn’t even use an entire banana. Just the half that my daughter left on the kitchen table to rot. In my mind I was only planning nutella croissants but then I saw that sad thing and I sliced it up, and I’m so glad I did.
Just add a tablespoon or so to one side of your rolled-out crescent. Then add a few banana slices, and roll it up.
Bake as directed on the crescents package, and they’ll come out looking something like this.
Shower them in powdered sugar if you like. These are best enjoyed warm. Mmmmm.

I’ve never seen anything like this before. Love bananas. This should be great.
