It has been a while since I’ve attended a blogger event, at least a year, but on Saturday it finally happened. The lovely Colleen Padilla and Whitney Wingerd organized a fun event called Mom Mixer. There were two sessions, and I purposely chose the afternoon one because while I aspire to be an early bird, in reality I am not. I hopped onto the Patco line which took me from practically right to the XIX at the Hyatt at Bellvue in Center City Philadelphia. So convenient, and such a nice break from the New York events that take 2 hours + to get to.
Unfortunately, many of the ladies I normally see at these events attended the earlier session, however I did spot a few familiar faces that I haven’t seen in a while. I also finally got to meet some of the public relations ladies and gents and brand representatives that I’ve corresponded with online, and even met some new people I haven’t worked with before. It’s always nice to connect with new brands and other bloggers. By going solo I got some much needed quiet time, too. These trips are few and far between so I’ve gotta take advantage when they happen, and I did by going shopping on the other side of the river afterwards. It was fantastic!
The brands represented at the event include CVS, Vaseline, Hasbro, Advil, Robitussin and Just Play toys.
I received a swag bag at this event, and will be working with some sponsors during the holiday season.

I think they are so cute and I MIGHT pay $20 for a special occasion but that would be my top dollar. Boooo I was hoping they’d be cheaper :/

Hahaha – NO, I would never pay $45 for that, but it is cute. Glad you saw a few familiar faces and had a great event.

So glad you got to go and enjoy some time away! The bejeweled Vaseline lip thereapy is super cute but heck no I would not pay $45 for it! That is just crazy!
