M&M’S® Crispy at 180 Calories

By Heather

Crispy M&Ms

I’ve never been one to have a real sweet tooth, but as I’ve gotten older I have found that I do like to finish a meal with something sweet. We always have a stash of M&M’S® readily available in the pantry for, erm, the kids. However, it is still bathing suit season, and I don’t want to totally sabotage the healthy eating plan.

What helps me is having a pre-portioned package to snack from. If I was given an entire 12-ounce bag, I’m pretty confident that I wouldn’t be able to stop. The M&M’S® Crispy single serve pack is under 200 calories so that I don’t overindulge, but still get a satisfying dose of delicious crispy chocolate.

Each singles pack has only 180 calories thanks to the sweet rice puff center surrounded with rich milk chocolate and that candy coating we all know and love. It’s a great alternative to a solid chocolate candy, but I still don’t feel like I’m missing out because they’re just as indulgent tasting as regular M&M’S®, or even more so with a crunch in the center. If you’re one of those people that enjoys a crunchy snack as I do.

And apparently I am not the only one. M&M’S® Crispy returned to shelves nationwide this past January for the first time since 2005 thanks to calls and social media requests from customers. This is the number one most requested variety to bring back between 2005 and 2014.

Another way I help make it into a filling snack is to add a handful of roasted almonds for a protein-packed sweet and salty combo. I love how M&M’S® Crispy offers a way to enjoy America’s favorite chocolate candy with fewer calories per serving.

I have not tried these yet. In fact, this is the first I’ve heard of them but they sound interesting especially for M&Ms!!

I haven’t tried the Crispy M&Ms, actually. My favorite was always the peanut ones, or the peanut butter ones for a really indulgent treat!

Oh man, Crispy M&M’s are amazing. I love the crispiness with the chocolate. The pretzel ones are amazing too!
