Mickey’s Magical Arts World App

By Heather

disneymaw

When Kevin and I were engaged someone suggested that we honeymoon in Walt Disney World. At the time we laughed, but now we wished we’d done it. We fell in love ever since we visited Walt Disney World as a family of three, and last year was both Ryan’s first and second visit. We are already planning this year’s trip which can’t come soon enough.

Every time my kids see a Disney commercial, they both exclaim,”I want to go there!” To that we say, ‘me too!’. While we can never visit as much as we’d like to, at least we can give them a taste of Disney at home with the new Mickey’s Magical Arts World app.

disney

Disney Imagicademy is a new learning brand appropriate for children ages 3-8. There are over 30 app-based experiences as part of the brand and we are loving our first download, Mickey’s Magical Arts World. It’s so completely interactive and fun that my kids don’t even realize that they’re learning as they play. That’s the best kind of learning! My two start to fight over the app, until I point out that one or the other can use an iPhone while the other is on the iPad.

There are five sections within this app that include: Drawing, Costume & Movies, Materials, Design and Music. For full access to all sections there is $19.99 upgrade fee, however you can let your kids explore them for free before purchasing. My youngest spends a lot of time drawing and customizing toys and my oldest loves playing around with the musical instruments. I love everything about this app because in typical Disney fashion, their creations come to life before their eyes.

disneyparents

The Disney Imagicademy Parents app is a great way to connect with other Disney enthusiasts. While on there I found some more useful learning/play ideas like how to plan an outdoor scavenger hunt and a cute caterpillar craft. This app also gives me the ability to see what my kids are creating in Mickey’s Magical Arts World and what areas they’re spending their time in. This really allows parents to get some insight without peering over their kids’ shoulders.

The only issue I have with this app is that load times can be longDisney Imagicademy apps, including Mickey’s Magical Arts World are available exclusively for iPad and can currently be found on Apple’s App Store in the Kids, Education and Entertainment categories.

I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.

So fun to have an app like this – and I can understand Disney enthusiasm – when my husband said he wanted to start going to Disneyland for his Business Anniversary every year – at first I was like ‘what?’ – now we look forward to the fun day! Glad you enjoy Disney so much also

This looks like such a fun app for the kids. I wish that there would have been a few of these type of things available for my kids when they were young. I think that these type of apps are great learning tools.

Seems pretty good but the slow load time would bug me after a while. Hopefully then can fix that glitch.

I love how interactive this app is for kids. It will help them with their fine motor skills and their critical thinking.
