manduka Onward Sandals Review

By Jennifer

download (1)

I LOVE flip flops.  If it was acceptable to wear them everywhere I would.  I’m always looking for a new (but comfortable) pair, because not all flip flop/sandals are the same.   I was able to try out Manduka’s LiveON Collection’s Onward Sandal and i’m so glad I did.  These comfortable and sturdy sandals made from 100% reclaimable & recyclable PLUSfoam®. In bright and colors, these sandals are like yoga mats for your feet!

Manduka’s LiveON Collection’s Onward sandals are made from a revolutionary recyclable PLUSfoam® that uses minimal energy in a closed-loop production process that eliminates the need to dispose of industrial waste or source new materials.  So now you can be eco-conscious, fashion-forward and have foot-friendly sandals!

They look like regular sandals/flip flops to me in truly fun colors, and the materials really do look like a soft foam/yoga mat.  The straps are also made of a soft material.

The soles are SO comfy.  You can tell by this picture that they have a good amount of thickness and a rigged bottom – so while they’re soft, they’re also sturdy:

I wasn’t sure I would be able to walk around with such a soft-sole, but they really are resilient and feels like it forms around your feet – I have been taking my nightly family walks with them on since it’s so hot out and my feet/toes do not hurt at all (which was a surprise)!

The sandals are available in Women’s size 5 – 11.   Closed cell surface makes them non microbial, hydrophobic, hypo-allergenic and made to grip feet while walking, without slipping when wet!  Purchase online at Manduka’s website for $40.00.

These sandals are really nice. I’m always looking for comfortable sandals when I walk or have to stand for long periods. Their color is nice and stylish too.

They are made from recycled materials? Very cool! I need to upgrade from my 3 buck Old Navy ones!
