Mama Bargains Review & Coupon

By Heather

mamabargains-logo1While I’d love to spend entire days or even mornings at the mall, my schedule doesn’t allow it. I love coupons, but I have a hard time keeping track of special offers and end dates when I’ve got little people and a home to manage as well. I rarely ever use coupons anymore because it’s just another thing on my already crowded laundry list and I know I’m not alone in this.

There are tons of bargain sites on the web these days. Limited-quanity bargains that are first come, first-served have become quite popular and I can totally understand why. There is something exciting about stalking out a great deal and let’s face it – parents don’t have the time to do the physical leg work. Or coupon-clipping.

When Mama Bargains contacted me, I was stoked to learn about another site that appealed to my bargain-hunting nature. I joined their facebook page so that I wouldn’t miss a deal. I looked and looked, and many things caught my eye along the way. Ultimately I ended up choosing two different deals.

One for the kids – these neat covers that insulate ice pops and also keep little hands from getting frozen. Genius!

And one for me and a friend –  I couldn’t pass up these adorable chevron scarves. They’re lightweight and I happened to be doing a scarfswap at the time so it was kismet!

The disappointment for me was the lengthy order to arrival timeline. The first item took 4 weeks to arrive and the scarves arrived after 3 weeks. I’m the kind of online shopper that expects to receive the delivery the following week, because usually they do. If you buy a MamaBargains deal, keep this in the back of your head and make sure you order well in advance.

With Mama Bargains, sometimes shoppers are privvy to the brand name and other times the brand requests that the information be withheld. This can be confusing for people who want to know exactly what they’re getting. I also saw a lot of repeat items, but from time to time there were exceptional deals mixed in. I guess that just like bargain hunting of any other kind, shopping at Mama Bargains requires a lot of patience!
