We make play dates with friends on a weekly basis, but family time tends to be full of chores and to-do lists lately. While the kids play together all week long, it’s rare that we get to spend fun quality time together as a family – mom, dad, sister and brother. And I know the kids crave that kind of family time.
So I’m pledging here and now to make a family play date a priority. What will we do? Well, now that the weather is getting warmer, we have plans to visit our local farm, the zoo, and the Jersey shore. These are our favorite spots to explore. But really it doesn’t have to be that complicated. It can be as simple as kicking around a soccer ball in the back yard, having a picnic at the park or riding bikes around the neighborhood. There are many things you can do together as a family on any budget, and now that Summer is approaching there are no reasons not to get out there and have fun as a family!
