Made in the USA: Short Hat Company Review & Giveaway

In the winter time, I’m always sure to cover up Emma’s head to keep her body warm.  But in summer, we rarely wear hats.  It’s so hot outside – Who wants to put something on their sweating head?

That’s how you might think, but really hats can help you stay cool in the summer months by providing shade, and they also protect your scalp from a sunburn.  If it’s the right hat.

While scanning the selection at the Short Hat Company, the Molly caught my eye.  It’s a cute style for girls in a light tan color with just a touch of pink embroidery and matching stitching.  I knew this was the hat for Emma, based on the neutral color scheme as it work with practically any of outfit she might wear.

The Molly is a faux suede cap with moisture-wicking Coolmax headband.  I like that the bill is very short since long bills can be frustrating for my girl so hats like that normally go flying.  Also, it is adjustable in the back with the easy velcro strap, which also helps in getting it on and off.  This is one Emma likes to wear, and I like that her head is protected from the “elements” of the summer, that are the sun and wind.

After trying this hat a few times, I do have one small issue.  The cap ends way above the ears, which is great but it doesn’t seem to have a great grip on the head so it usually ends up falling off.  It would work better for Emma if the edges came closer to the ears.  Otherwise this is a great quality hat and it looks beautiful on.

Of course I love seeing Made in the USA right on the tag on the inside of this cap!
