If you have kids and animals in the house, your floors are likely dirty all.the.time. At least that’s how it is here. It’s near impossible to keep them clean. So we’re always looking for quick ways to get the job done.
Just today I tried out the Lysol Clean-Flip Sweeper. We use the Lysol wipes and spray religiously to clean and disinfect our home. I was excited to see a Lysol sweeper, considering how many things go from the floor to my daughter’s mouth.
There aren’t too many sweepers I am aware of that will safely clean hardwood flooring, but the Clean-Flip is one of them and I quickly got to work. You simply lay the wet cloth on the floor, press the sweeper down into it and start sweeping. It stays securely attached to the velcro on the mop. You then finish the process using a dry cloth to dry the floor, if needed.
Pros:
-It’s safe for use on hardwood flooring.
-Fits and folds automatically when taking the sweeper through tight spaces.
-Picks up dust bunnies so you don’t have to necessarily vacuum before mopping.
-Having disinfecting cleaning power built-in.
-Cloths are disposable.
Cons:
-It’s too light and doesn’t glide toward you easily. You have to put a lot of pressure on the wand with your second hand to keep it planted firmly on the ground as you pull the mop back.
-Because of the pressure you have to exert, the moisture squeezes out of the cloth rather quickly. I only did a small area of my kitchen before one wet cloth was used up.
-The cost of having to buy cloth refills.
I like the Clean-Flip, but it won’t be replacing my other one . It is really great for the bathroom though since it fits into small spaces like behind the toilet or pedestal sink.
You can find the Lysol Clean-Flip Sweeper Starter Kit at mass retailers nationwide. It retails for $10.00 and includes the sweeper, 2 dry cloths and 2 wet cloths.

My favorite tip is proactive: leave the dirt outside your home. Leave your shoes in the garage and go barefoot in the house. Use excellent doormats at your front door and all doors entering your home. If dirt doesn’t come in, you don’t have to clean it up.
