With the holiday season approaching I have been on a mission for a special children’s gift. I want to find a gift that will really “wow” a child! I was at a total loss of ideas this year because my kids don’t need any new toys just to take up space. Then, my problem was solved when I received two special books made by Lost My Name.
Lost My Name is a company that creates personalized children’s books that spark imagination, creativity, and fun for the whole family. We were able to experience both “The Little Girl Who Lost Her Name” and “The Intergalactic Journey Home” thanks to sample copies that were created especially for my children by Lost My Name. My children’s faces showed pure delight as we read through each of their books over and over and over again. They were so thrilled to see their names throughout their books! Each paperback book is written in rhyme and unique to the individual child it is created for.
“The Little Girl Who Lost Her Name” is about a little girl who wakes up one morning only to realize that her name plaque that use to hang on her door in her bedroom is now missing, and without it, she cannot seem to remember her name.
This cute problem leads her on a quest to meet some interesting creatures that she helps, and in return she is gifted a letter to her name.
At the end of her exhausting journey she now has all the letters of her name and now can soundly sleep happily knowing her name.
The best thing about both of these books is that each book is completely different. When you go online to order a book for a child, you get to pick which creatures you would like to make up your child’s name. I love that I can order another book for my same child with a completely different adventure by picking different characters to gift her letters of her name.
My son was given the book “The Intergalactic Journey Home” to sample. This story is perfect for little ones who are learning their address as well as anyone who just thinks it is cool to see his address and aerial photo of his home in a book.
This delightful and comical book is about a little boy who just doesn’t want to go to bed and instead goes on an adventure throughout outer space to meet fun creatures.
He makes this journey alongside a very comical and bizarre character named Hubble who always wants to drink lemonade.
The conflict arises in the book when the main character is ready to go home, but the navigator no longer works. He must then use the help of others to find his way back home.
My son likes seeing his name as the main character who also resembles my son in appearance. He finds it hilarious that Jacob’s (my son’s name) sidekick and friend Hubble always wants to drink lemonade no matter the situation.
This book teaches your child his or her house number, street, town, and country. It also led my son to want to learn more about how aerial photos are taken after seeing the aerial view of his own street in the book. We had fun enriching his mind even more looking up other aerial photos of our favorite destinations on the internet. I love when books spark deeper interest into subject matter.
“The Little Boy Who Lost His Name” and “The Little Girl Who Lost Her Name” are perfect for children learning to spell their names or for an older child who just enjoys a book they can personally connect to. We have read these book over and over again! I am sure my little ones will cherish these books for years to come. Each book is made custom for your child and costs 29.99 with FREE shipping!! You choose the appearance of the main character, the name, and the characters to help build your child’s name.
