I never believed my elders when I was young and thin, when  I couldn’t even grab an ounce of fat from my belly if I tried.  They’d say, “Just wait until you’re older, it will come.”  Yeah, right.  I would scoff at elastic waistbands, “Those are for old people”, I’d say.  But now that I’m a mother, my hands are full of belly fat.  And mister elastic waistband and I, we get along quite well these days.  Stetch pants help me avoid the muffin top look, but I must say that I can still easily end up looking frumpy.

When I want to be comfy and yet still look cool, I turn to Lolly38.  The company is based in Philadelphia, PA, which is not too far from me, and they offer a variety of women’s clothing including sexy, cheeky lingerie, tees, sweats, pajamas and yoga pants – all with a fun, sassy attitude.  Sizing is offered to fit any body, from youth to misses to plus size women.

For this review I chose the Lolly38 logo sweatshirt and black sweatpants, because I was in love with the Lolly38 design.  It’s so fun and whimsical.  There are also cute princess skull hoodies available but I just had to have the logo hoodie after I saw it on the website.  It runs very true to size, and I am very happy with the fit and comfort.  On the downside, the pants are very low rise,  not crazy about that, but throughout the day they did stretch out a bit.  I just layer a long tank underneath so I don’t scare anybody. :)

I’m impressed with the overall quality and comfort of the fabric, and while I may still look like a mom, I now look like a super cool mom.   The sweatshirt sells for $40.00, the pants for $25.00, but if you buy them together as a set it’s only $50.00 total. Warning: These are clothes your daughter will want to borrow if she’s old enough.
