Logitech Fantasy Collection (Review)

By Heather

logo-logitechThe computer became mainstream years ago, but PCs and their companion accessories have remained rather plain.  Surprising, no?  Especially when you consider the world we live in, where everything is binged out to the max—from automobiles to fingernails.  Maybe the computer geeks of yesterday were happy with the status quo, but present day geeks and mommy bloggers are anything but austere. There was a need for fun in the world of technology, and Logitech recognized it.  miceThe Logitech Fantasy Collection features three flagship patterns – Blue Swirl, Fleur Dark, and Pink Balance (the first three patterns from left to right above) – across multiple products including mice, portable lapdesks, wireless keyboards and cooling pads.  Other than just sitting there looking pretty, the accessories that are part of the Logitech Fantasy Collection are useful too.

021 My desktop computer can’t compete with the portability of my laptop, but there are a few accessories that I do miss having. For one, the keyboard.  On many laptops, the keyboard is squeezed together to fit the space and I tend to “fat finger” the keys.  With traditional keyboards, the keys are more spread apart and typos are less common.  Logitech makes a wireless keyboard in the Fleur Dark pattern that is luxuriously wide and lightweight.  It couldn’t be more easy to install with the plug-and-play feature.  All I had to do was plug the nano receiver into my usb port.  It installed in mere seconds and was ready for use.  The Fleur Dark pattern is featured on both sides, giving it personality.

016 The other accessory that I miss is the mouse.  You know, the traditional kind that actually works.  The touchpad that’s on my laptop just doesn’t do it for me.  It jumps all around and makes me crazy.  Just like is right now as I work on this post!  The Fleur Dark wireless mouse installed just as the keyboard did.  The fancy pattern is much more noticeable on the mouse.  It’s main color is black.  On the surface it glistens and is adorned with swirls.  And let’s not forget about function.  It fits naturally and comfortably in your hand and features a soft rubber grib on the sides.  It’s not too large or too small and works well on my carpet or next to the touchpad on my laptop.

The wireless mouse and wireless keyboard are each $29.99.  I love how user friendly the plug-and-play system is.  Each USB nano receiver fits in a low-profile fashion so as not to get in the way.

Mostly, I blog from a comfy chair in our family room.  My new Fantasy Collection accessories will help me function while keeping me inspired.

No compensation was received for this post, but I did receive the product discussed free of charge in order to facilitate my review.  All of the opinions above are 100% my own.
