The day after we were shaken up by the Virginia Earthquake, we decided to return to the bay beach on Long Beach Island. It’s all part of an effort to make the most of the few summer days we have left. Can you believe it’s almost the end of August already?
The bay beach is where my parents used to take me as a child and I love it now being a parent myself. Since it’s on the bay, the waves are small in comparison to the ocean side and everything is fenced in.
Since we live about forty minutes away, I never apply sunscreen before. We always wait until we arrive and get settled, by which time Emma is already engaged in some fun activity. It’s hard to pull her away for sunscreen application, but it’s gotta be done.
This new Neutrogena Wet Kids Skin Sunblock is awesome, not only for it’s exclusive Helioplex broad spectrum UVA & UVB protection, but because it’s in continuous spray form, making it quick and easy to apply when your kids are trying to run away from you like mine does! It’s also sweat and waterproof, oil-free, PABA-free and hypoallergenic. We liked that it was quick and easy but also light and didn’t smell chemically.
We spent a few entire days in a row at the shore so I was reapplying several times, and it can even offer complete coverage when applied to wet skin! It was such a carefree day spent…
..surfing…
…fishing…
…enjoying ice cream with friends.

Looks like a whole lotta fun. Wish I where there.
Oh my gosh, your daughter is adorable. Way to brave the craziness the day after the quake! Love that it doesn’t smell chemically!
Thank you! It was…an interesting day that day :)
glad you had such a good experience with it! We did too!
Woo hoo for easy sunscreen!
That surfing picture is too cute! Love that the sunscreen goes on even when wet. That’s a huge time saver!
Totally! Love that there is no drying off required :)
That’s so cute.. them having ice cream together. :) Looks like you had a beautiful day to test out the sunblock! We loved our Wet Skin too!
Looks like an awesome day! We love the Wet Skin too! Your baby girl is a real doll! You need to keep protecting her skin! Good job Mom (as my 2 year old would say)!
Looks like that wetskin works great…and especially on that fair skin! Fun day at the beach.
Great pictures – it looks like fun and no one got sunburnt!
I especially love that it can be applied to wet skin, and the spray on feature is the best!
What a fun day-I love your daughters surfing techniques! I used to go to Long Beach Island when I was little too! Be safe with the weather headed your way.
We absolutely love it :)
It’s changed quite a bit over the years.
