The day after we were shaken up by the Virginia Earthquake, we decided to return to the bay beach on Long Beach Island. It’s all part of an effort to make the most of the few summer days we have left. Can you believe it’s almost the end of August already?
The bay beach is where my parents used to take me as a child and I love it now being a parent myself. Since it’s on the bay, the waves are small in comparison to the ocean side and everything is fenced in.
Since we live about forty minutes away, I never apply sunscreen before. We always wait until we arrive and get settled, by which time Emma is already engaged in some fun activity. It’s hard to pull her away for sunscreen application, but it’s gotta be done.
This new Neutrogena Wet Kids Skin Sunblock is awesome, not only for it’s exclusive Helioplex broad spectrum UVA & UVB protection, but because it’s in continuous spray form, making it quick and easy to apply when your kids are trying to run away from you like mine does! It’s also sweat and waterproof, oil-free, PABA-free and hypoallergenic. We liked that it was quick and easy but also light and didn’t smell chemically.
We spent a few entire days in a row at the shore so I was reapplying several times, and it can even offer complete coverage when applied to wet skin! It was such a carefree day spent…
..surfing…
…fishing…
…enjoying ice cream with friends.
