My vanity drawers are overflowing with makeup. There are tons of shadows with color and shimmer, but I’m running a bit low on matte eyeshadows. There is a time and place for shimmer, but day to day I like a more natural look.
One of my very favorite Lancôme items is the Juicy Tubes. They are the best! I haven’t tried the other products in quite a long time, so I was curious to see how I’d like their other goodies. The new shadow palettes that are a part of the new Hypnotic Eyes Collection come in three shades: Beige Brulee, French Nude, and Chocolate Amande. By looking at the colors online, I thought Beige Brulee would work perfectly.
The colors are lovely. The shadows help you create the perfect eye from lashes to eyebrow, including one shimmery highlight shadow. The consistency is fantastic. Not too powdery or too creamy, but so smooth. I love it! Today I only used the base color and the medium brown and I loved the natural look.
Other than a natural shadow, liquid liner is my other makeup staple so I am always looking for a better liner. Obviously it needs to look great, but I also look for liners that are easy to apply because there is no room for error with a liquid liner. I found the Artliner Precision Point EyeLiner in Noir extremely easy to apply and the end result was near flawless.
Lancôme products are on the pricey side. It’s $50 for the palettes and $30 for the liner, however they are worth every penny in my opinion. The perfect example of ‘you get what you pay for’.
I don’t wear a lot of makeup, but I have been thinking about starting to wear some.
