Kohler Touchless Toilet and Nightlight Toilet Seat Review

By Jennifer

Kohler-Logo

The older I get the more practical my “wish list” becomes.  Home improvements have recently topped the list, including remodeling our bathrooms.  I’m basically obsessed with Pinterest and have lots of home decor items on my list – but sometimes the best home improvements are ones that how your house functions, not just how it looks!

Kohler has recently introduced their Touchless Toilet Technology (retails for $99.97), which provides homeowners a more hygienic way to control the toilet’s flush by simply holding a hand over the tank lid directly above the sensor to activate the flush – which is particularly helpful for families with children, like mine!

The Technology is available as a Touchless Flush Kit that retrofits a standard toilet to touchless flush. The kit works with most toilets and is powered by batteries. These are all the parts that are needed!  I have to admit that I did not do the install but I watched and my hubby agreed it was super easy to figure out, and the instructions were easy to read.

This is great for little kids – not only is it fun to use, it also keeps little hands off the handle (and those little hands can definitely get so gross!)

The Kohler Nightlight Toilet Seat features two LED light displays that illuminate your toilet, perfect for kids or anyone who needs to use the bathroom in the middle of the night).

I tried really hard to take a picture showing the light but it just didn’t work, so here’s an awesome photo from Kohler showing how it works (and it really does!):

It’s on a timer and has such a nice, unobtrusive blue light.  The toilet seat is great for potty training and also for those with bathrooms close to their bed and wake up with the slightest light flashing.
Samples received for consideration.

That is a really cool toilet. I know kiddo and her dad would love the built in night-light. I don’t think too often about the stuff in our bathroom. Right now my main make-over room would be my home-office as I obsess about the day we move and a new kitchen!

My friend has the toilet in her house and I stayed over New Years Eve and it’s was awesome at nite. No need to turn on the light to find the john. It was great and with just a wave of your hand the toilet flushes.

How awesome! I like the glowing toilet as well. It’d be great with those who have vision problems :)
