KMS® California HAIRPLAY Sea Salt Spray and HAIRSTAY Maximum Hold Spray Review

By Jennifer

I’m very low-key (i.e. lazy) when it comes to my hair.  I usually just wash it and throw it up in a ponytail. If i’m going somewhere where I need to look presentable, i’ll straighten it.  That’s it.  I don’t usually use any hair products, besides the occasional product while i’m straightening.  However, what I have always wanted was a product that would help me with my air-dried hair, so that I could leave my long hair down after a shower without any blowdrying. Since my hair is naturally-wavy, that usually amounts to a big, frizzy mess if not pulled-back or straightened.  As such, I was super-excited to try these KMS® California products.

I received the KMS® California HAIRPLAY sea salt spray ($18.99) and the KMS®California HAIRSTAY maximum hold spray ($17.99).  The HAIRSTAY did exactly as expected – provided great hold.  I use this mostly with a ponytail, and helps keep the flyaways at bay.

The shocker was the HAIRPLAY.  I was definitely hesitant that this would work as described, but it did!  I was unable to take the best pic, but this is my hair hours after a shower, air-dried:

No frizz, just natural waves! I was very excited at the result and will continue to use this for sure.  I’m inspired to check out lots of products from their entire line, since they work!

I don’t think I can use these with my keratin treatments, but they sound awesome.
