Don’t get excited, I am not pregnant. No, I have a different kind of confession to make — I still wear maternity clothes.
After that kind of investment, I am glad that there are a few pieces that I can still incorporate into my wardrobe. Now I’m not talking about elastic pants, belly bands, and the like. I’m referring to the tops.
Truth be told, certain maternity clothes still look pretty great even when you’re not preggers. When all of my other long length shirts have shrunk, my maternity tops have not. And if you gain a few pounds, it’s more difficult for people to notice that under a bell-shaped top.
Mostly though, I still wear the shirts that hugged my belly when I was pregnant. When you think about it, because of how snug they fit, there really isn’t a whole lot of extra room left when the bump is gone, so it makes perfect sense to wear them later.
I’m a bargain hunter, and I looked high and low for cheap maternity clothes when I was pregnant. It is no easy task finding a good deal on clothing to accommodate your bump, and I remember paying much more than what I was comfortable with. And in the end, I wore the same few outfits over and over again. If I had known about Kiki’s Maternity Fashions then, I would have had a more complete and fashionable wardrobe to choose from.
Kiki’s Maternity Fashions sent me their Turquoise Striped Long Sleeve Maternity Shirt. It’s really a cardigan, and I love it. Long shirts are my favorite, and the knit material is so soft and cozy. It’s a lightweight knit that can be worn throughout the year. Can you believe that this shirt is only $24.99? I can’t get over what a great value that is.
Trying to imagine how this would fit if and when I do have another bump, I am not sure I’d be able to button it up since I barely can now. I’d probably wear it unbuttoned like I am at the right, pictured with mini me in her own striped cardigan.
