VTech Kidizoom® Smartwatch Review and Giveaway

By Heather

VTech Kidizoom® Smartwatch Review and Giveaway | GirlGoneMom.com

Do you like finding 100 of your child’s selfies on your tablet or smartphone? Me neither. But they all do it, unless you can find a decent alternative to keep them entertained. Both of my kids have their own kiddie cameras, but that’s all there is to them. They snap a few photos and then they’re done. The does so much more than take photos, and I’m going to show you why I think this is going to be a hot ticket item come Christmas.

Once Emma laid her eyes on it, her face lit up and she kept saying, “Thank you so much for my surprise!” As we opened the package I immediately regretted showing it to her before I got a chance to look at it because I wasn’t sure if it needed to be pre-charged. Luckily, the watch arrived fully charged for immediate play. Crisis averted!

We turned on the watch by flipping the tiny switch on the back side and then by pressing the home button on the side. We were prompted to enter the date and time, and that was it. No need to plug it in to the computer to upload anything. It comes completely preloaded with all of the fun. My kids immediately started taking photos and videos, recording their own voices (and altering them) and playing with the four included games.

The Kidizoom® Smartwatch has a large touch-screen display; 1.4 inches to be exact. The fact that you can control this watch by touching the screen makes all the difference; it is completely user-friendly and appropriate for kids over the age of four. There are three menu screens that are accessed by simply swiping.

My favorite feature is the learning feature for telling time (top left). Touch the cute owl icon and your child can play with the hands on the clock and see what both the analog and digital clock look like at any particular time. I knew I could count on VTech to make learning fun!

The photos taken can be framed and even turned into puzzles when playing the puzzle game. There is an included usb cord for re-charging the battery. There are over 50 analog and digital displays, so your child can easily change the look of their watch display. Other timing features include a countdown timer, a stop-watch and an alarm clock. There isn’t much this watch doesn’t do.

VTech’s Kidizoom® Smartwatch is available in four colors, blue, pink, white and green for $59.99. It is durable and comfortable, and won’t be damaged by sweat or splashes of water when washing their hands. We will definitely be accessing the Learning Lodge app store to get more games.

I would definitely give this to my little girl, and of course she would pick the pink one. She would love it and i would love her having it, because i think that might get me back some of my control over my phone lol.

I’d like the blue one for my little grandson. He’s feeling left out because his older brother just got his first cell phone. This would make him feel like a big boy, too.
