Back when I was known as The Penny-Pinching Mama, I tried out Kid-Basix drink ware. I had been nervous about using plastics that could possibly leach, BPA scares and such when Emma was young. The stainless-steel safe-sippy got a lot of use even well after we ditched most other baby cups. My only regret is that we got it in pink, otherwise we’d use it for the little fella we’re expecting.
The “big girl” version of the safe sippy is the safe sporter. Designed for older kids, it’s like a sports bottle, but in stainless steel. I like that this mud cap remains attached where with the safe-sippy it removed completely and was prone to getting misplaced.
Available in a wide variety of colors, it comes in two sizes, a 12-ounce and a 16-ounce. We went with the larger of the two, because I like to pack her bottles with ice and I know this will be the perfect drink container when we are beach-bound this summer.
I gave Emma her pick, and she chose red. It’s time to ditch all of those cheap plastic sports containers in our kitchen.
Kid-Basix has every drinkware option you might want for any of your kids, whether you need a bottle, sippy or a sports cup. Prices start at just around $10.oo.
