Sometimes it’s difficult finding entertainment for kids that allows them to be silly without turning them into wild animals. Keller Williams has honed in on his ability to entertain kids while teaching them a thing or two, and the animals while harmless, do not resemble your kids.
Keller’s new CD will be released tomorrow. It’s appropriately titled Kids, and cleverly features a couple of them on the front cover.
The sound of Keller’s voice is beautiful and it reminds me of one of my favorite musicians, Martin Sexton. It’s fun and funny, but with that scruffy, edginess to his voice. We all know that only the cool kids make it onto Yo Gabba Gabba’s Super Music Friends Show. Keller Williams is touring with the Gabba gang at select live shows along the Pacific Northwest, and he is definitely one of the cool Kids.
He’s also a fine example for children – and we all know that’s cool. If you listen closely to the lyrics, you’ll realize there are lessons to be learned. How could you argue with:
“Chillin in my car seat…it does not feel right unless I’m strapped in tight.”
-or-
“Please keep it on the paper.”
-and my personal favorite-
“You can’t always have what you want. Why? Because I said so.”
You can’t not laugh listening to “Mama Tooted.” I mean just the title is hilarious! You and your child will enjoy this CD. It’ll be available on October 26th. Don’t walk. Run!
