Keeping kids active after summer (P&G Back to School Giveaway)

By Heather

We have been running non-stop all summer long. The kids get so much exercise whether it’s through swimming, biking or running around with their friends. I want to keep the momentum going, so here’s how I plan on keeping them active once back-to-school season is upon us.

Keeping kids active after summer

soccer

Sports
This fall both of my kids will be playing soccer. My daughter will be playing on the township rec team and my son will be learning soccer skills through a private program. Sports help keep the kids healthy not only physically but emotionally too. They learn sports skills and communication skills at the same time. Most of all, I love that their getting in their cardio.

amusement park

Day trips
Just because summer is over, doesn’t mean we have to stop having fun. We’re planning day and weekend trips to amusement parks and we’ll be attending all of the fall festivals we can squeeze in. We’ll all get lots of exercise along the way.

bikeride

Bike rides
Fall is the best time of year to ride bikes. After a summer spent swimming, it’s time to give those wheels a spin. I love marveling at the turning leaves and enjoying the outdoors when it’s not so humid.

Need another way to motivate your kids to get active? The LeapFrog LeapBand is a hit with my kids.

If you purchase $30 or more of P&G products at participating Shoprite stores will receive a LeapFrog LeapBand activity tracker by mail!  This is an excellent deal, considering I already love P&G brands like Tide, Bounty, Charmin, Pantene, Old Spice and Crest.
