Last month this blog received a new look, and I’ve gotten nothing but compliments on it. It’s cleaner, more user-friendly, and incorporated all of the changes I’d been wanting over the past year and a half. Hopefully you feel the same way!
After the last makeover and initial migration from blogger to wordpress, I had a lot of time to reflect on what worked and what didn’t. And that’s how I met Katie Harris.
Katie worked with the designer I hired previously as the wordpress coding pro. And she turned out to be my favorite part of that entire process. Even months after the design was complete, she remained responsive when had any questions or technical issues, never letting me pay a dime for her expertise. It’s very hard to come by a someone so reliable and helpful these days, especially in this bloggy blog world.
I knew I wanted to continue working with her, and I was thrilled to hear that she was entering the world of blog design, because after a year and a half, I was ready for a new look. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect since kah designs was a new venture for Katie, but I knew from her custom jewelry line, Katherine Kouture, that she had a sassy creative side to match her knowledge in coding. She sent me a few options, and I fell in love with the start of what became the winning design.
Katie was open to feedback and collaboration on the design which was great. I loved being involved in the process and I didn’t feel awkward asking her to make a change or telling her if I flat out didn’t like something. Her willingness to work with me in this way made the difference, and I am so pleased with the end result.
