We popped this in on playdate night and watched the girls try to follow along to the moves. They were having a lot of fun shaking their bodies and singing familiar songs at the top of their lungs. Girls being girls.
As I joined in on the fun, I immediately saw a huge benefit to having this game in the house: It gets everybody moving, in a fun way. We can all use a little help burning calories during this season of indulgence. The game is pretty forgiving. I didn’t follow along very well and it rated me as doing well.
I love that the lyrics show on the screen so that you can sing along while you dance for that fun karaoke effect. For us older gals who can read. ;)
The one problem we had with the game was trying to change the songs on the Kinect. It was very difficult and frustrating. Apparently we are not the only ones who experienced this, so there was an automatic release updating the game so that we can now use the Xbox controller. Thank goodness!
The Just Dance 4 game is available on Xbox, Nintendo Wii and Playstation 3. It appeals to both children and adults which is really nice. This would be a fun activity to do with your guests for holiday gatherings. I’m looking forward to playing this game with my friends on an upcoming mom’s night in.

I have the first version of this game and it’s a really good workout. I was thinking about picking up a copy of this one, too, because I it has better songs.

I’m glad they responded to that weird quirk! That is one popular series, isn’t it?
