John Frieda Frizz-Ease Thermal Protection Hair Serum (Review)

By Megan

fe_product_logo
I’m always a little skeptical about using hair product.  They are frequently expensive and produce really wishy washy results, in my experience.

frizz_ease_thermalInstead, I hope for skipping the product entirely and winging it on my own.  Punishing my hair with a flat iron is a major part of my routine because I have very voluminous, somewhat course, thick hair with a strong natural wave.

I think I may be rethinking the ‘no product’ stance though, after trying the John Frieda Frizz-Ease Thermal Protection Formula Serum.  It smells fantastic, goes on wet hair so there is no greasiness issue (although putting it on as a smoother is great, too!), and I really felt that it helped protect my hair from the punishing it takes with my iron.

For what it’s worth, I also was doing a good amount of swimming and sunning with this product in my hair in a very hot and humid period of the summer, and I have to tell you:  luscious locks!  When I did straighten my hair, it looked great and maintained it’s smoothness instead of getting super fluffy like it usually does.  When I left it in natural waves, I felt that the serum gave it a little something extra in the way of protection.  I plan to continue using it all summer – can’t wait to see how much it helps with fall and winter static!

Frizz-Ease® thermal protection hair serum retails for around $9.

Features:

  • With a Thermal Shield Complex, protective formula safeguards strands and creates a layer of protective gloss.
  • Instantly shields all hair styles against the damaging effects of heat styling that can cause frizz and UV exposure.
  • Makes hair smooth and silky with vibrant shine whether you style straight or curly.
  • Minimizes color fading.

Available in:
1.69 fl. oz. (50 ml) size

Ok so before blowdrying? After blowdrying before flat-iron? I MUST know!
