How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World

By Heather

We only have a few short weeks until the official end of the 2018-2019 school year and with that, softball and baseball seasons are coming to a close. As much as we will miss our games, we are finally going to get some much-needed downtime. One of our favorite ways to relax and unwind is with our family movie nights.

A few months ago when my daughter and her dad attended a dance together, my son and I had our own date night with friends at the movies to see the third installment of How to Train Your Dragon, The Hidden World. Last week I picked up the newly-released How to Train Your Dragon 3 Exclusive Limited Edition Gift Set, so that all four of us could finally see the movie together. The set includes 2 Funko keychains as well as the movie itself on Blu-ray, DVD and digital fomats.

This is a great family-friendly movie with just the right amount suspense, drama, and an ending we all loved. One of my favorite things about the movie was the addition of a female dragon who becomes toothless’ love interest. Even his rider Hiccup has his own love story. My other favorite part? Seeing these two sit next to eachother without bickering!

As you know from the other How to Train Your Dragon films, the story goes that dragons had been held captive for years. In the third installment there are still people holding the dragons against their will so the goal of the main characters is to find the Hidden World so that they can be safe. I liked the lesson it offered to kids about having respect for animals, even though these are fictional ones :).

Purchase the new release of How to Train Your Dragon 3  today! Don’t forget to look for How to Train Your Dragon apparel and toys while you’re there. My son is pictured below with the Hiccup and Toothless toy set and wearing the Dragons tee.

Those dragons are so cute! The book was great, but I think the design of the dragons is part of the reason why the movies are so popular. My kids would have loved the toys and the movies when they were younger.
