I’ve written before about my tummy troubles. I suffer from chronic gastritis that flares up on occasion and lasts for weeks, sometimes months. On top of that, I have a very sluggish digestive system. When your gut doesn’t feel good, you don’t feel good. If you’ve had issues in the past (and who hasn’t), then you know the feeling. Here are some changes that have really made a difference for me, and I’m sure they’ll help you too.
Eat a Balanced Diet
With all of the modern fad diets many of us follow, it’s no wonder that many people have gut issues. A few years ago I was on a modified Atkins plan, and I lost weight fast but man did my stomach hate me for it. What I learned is that my body needs a balance of everything to feel right. Cutting the carbs and upping my meat and cheese intake made my gastritis flareup. But too many carbs is no good either. All in moderation.
Drink plenty of water
We keep hearing that many times when we think we’re hungry, our body is really thirsty. It really is true. I eat so much less when I remember to continue to hydrate. It also keeps everything moving in the digestive tract.
Exercise, exercise, exercise!
Talking about keeping everything moving. Exercise is another miracle cure.
Take a Priobiotic
After taking a probiotic supplement for over a week, I have noticed that my tummy just feels better. We are used to hearing so many negatives about bad bacteria, that we forget that there is such a thing as good bacteria. We need it to support a your digestive system’s natural balance.
I’m not the best at remembering to take supplements and vitamins, so the labels right on the package are very helpful.

Somehow I had some bad things happen cause I took more probiotics than I needed. Hard to tell how much is actually good but I know that most conditions start with your digestion.

I couldn’t agree more about staying hydrated. When I drink a lot of water, I eat way less.
