Have you ever gone to give the kids a nice bubble bath only to find that you’re all out of bubble bath? I’ve been there – and the whining and tears that ensue are not fun. The kids are pretty bummed too! I recently discovered a super easy way to make my own bubbles and I’m kind of mad that I did not know this sooner.
This is a great way to use up leftover shampoo, and also perfect for those of us that like to know exactly what is going into our kids’ bath products. There are no crazy ingredients to buy – you just need a few common household products to make this homemade bubble bath.
You will need:
1/2 cup shampoo
3/4 cup water
1/4 teaspoon table salt
Step 1: Stir together the shampoo and water in a medium size bowl.
Step 2: Add salt and stir until the mixture thickens.
Step 3: Use a funnel to pour the bubble bath into a shampoo bottle.

wow! The items needed are very easy to find at home. Might try this too :) Thanks!
Where has this been all my kids life. So much cheaper than buying actual bubble bath stuff.
I didn’t realize it was so simple to make! We could have saved a ton of money when my girls were little!
I never thought about making my own bubble bath before, this is very interesting.
I didn’t know it was so easy to make bubble bath! That’s really cool to know.
My mom used to do that when I was younger. A little shampoo. She also made homemade bubble bath with shredded soap. I think there was a time or two when blue dawn made its way to the bath. LOL
I wanted to add… what a great picture! Love it.
Now that was simple enough. I would love to make some of this for myself and see how it comes out since my kids are no longer little ones.
Well how cool. I am going to try making my own bubble bath too. I bet I could also add scents.
My kids loved bubble baths and so do I. Now I can make my own. Thanks!
