Each night, just before bed we look for the moon in the night sky.  It settles her down, letting her know that it’s time to turn in, that tomorrow is another day of play.  But sometimes, the clouds get in the way and we can’t see the moon.  It’s a major bummer, and not easy to explain to a 2-year-old.

When I shut off the lights and turned on the Twilight Turtle from Cloud B, the moon and stars appeared above us, right on the ceiling.  Emma immediately began reaching for moon while shouting its name.  The stars can light up in blue, green or amber and can be changed with the press of button on the turtle’s shell.   If you look hard, you can identify the 8 major constellations.

By day, the sea turtle is just as cute – his head and arms are soft and plush like a stuffed animal.  His shell is hand-painted.

The Twilight Turtle runs on 3 AAA batteries, which are included in the package.  He also comes with an adoption certificate and story.  It’s too much stimulation for Emma to leave this on once she’s in bed, but it will automatically shut off after 45 minutes if your child can handle it.  Retail price, $30.00.
