Ever since we took Emma to Walt Disney World, we have been dying to show her what Cinderella was all about. See, the official movie has been vaulted by Disney for years, and just recently it was re-released. Of course I signed up for our copy well in advance and ran to the store to pick it up the week it came back.
In perfect timing, the Cinderella toys are hitting store shelves. There are Cinderella toys and then there are Cinderella toys. Tollytots’ My First Disney Princess My Magical Wand Cinderella is of the Cinderella variety. It’s perfect for girls my daughter’s age, going on 4, and for parents like me who appreciate that it doesn’t come with a gagillion pieces to lose or misplace.
This doll has two accessories that aren’t attached to Cinderella’s person, a hairbrush, and her magic wand. They are large enough that we should be able to find them easily enough, however I do with that there was a way to attach them to her somehow.
This truly is a sweet doll that any Cinderella lover will enjoy. Her dress is gorgeous and she wears glass slippers and a tiara just like she does in the movie. Her hair is down, which differs from the movie and book, but I suppose that’s so little girls can enjoy brushing her wavy hair.
With a wave of her wand —
The images on her dress light up as she sings songs like Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo. This doll is available nationwide at Toys R Us stores for $49.99.
One lucky reader will win the Tollytots My First Disney Princess My Magical Wand Cinderella!
