Recommended gift idea for: Animal lovin’ kids age 4 and up.
Remembering back to the early 80s when I was a kid, those little robotic puppies that flipped in the air were the coolest. From what I recall, they were everywhere – department stores, window displays and toy stores when the holidays were in full swing. I’m curious to know what they were called if anyone remembers!
When I see the FurReal friends line from Hasbro, I feel like I’ve been transported back. But the animals that are a part of this collection are…well much more realistic. Emma adores Lulu’s Walkin’ Kitty, who acts just like our real live kitty cats. She walks, purrs, meows and kneads her paws in response to your actions.
If your child is wanting a pet for Christmas, I highly recommend FurReal friends. It’s a whole heck of a lot easier that the real thing. :)
The FurReal Friends Lulu’s Walkin’ Kitty is only $19.99 and is designed for children age 4 and up. I’m not sure why such a high age requirement, because it suits my almost two-year-old just fine.
Here is a little video to show you how neat this toy really is.
In no way was I influenced or compensated for making these statements. Hasbro sent me the product to try, and I’ve shared my honest view above.

They really are – do you remember what those flipping puppies were called?
