After a few unseasonably warm days throughout the Fall season, it is finally getting colder as old man winter approaches.  On Thanksgiving we had a few flurries, just a gentle reminder of the cold blast coming down the pike.  It’s time to start preparing for the cold and the snow, and a warm pair of winter boots has been at the top of my list.

BEARPAW marries comfort and style with the Yukon Boot.  They are so cool, that once they arrived at my home I couldn’t wait for the cold weather to arrive.  I know, I am crazy…for these boots.  Yukon is a tall boot with a 13-inch shaft height, that features a faux lace-up side with the plush lining peaking through.  The fun pom poms add a touch of whimsy.

Looks aren’t everything, they’re just the tip of the iceberg.  The ultra-soft, superwash wool lining is so warm and cozy, you don’t even need socks.  For extra comfort, there is a genuine sheepskin footbed, and the Dri-Hide suede upper is water resistant.

The outsoles have deep grooves to channel water away in wet weather.  These will be great for getting through the snow this winter, and also the slush that will be left behind.

I often have trouble getting tall boots to fit my calves.  I usually have to buy the wider styles, so I didn’t those these would fit.  I definitely have to wear thinner pants or leggings, but I can zip these up.  Yukon is an all-around great boot for winter that offers great style and comfort while being functional too.  There will be no more cold wet feet after playing in the snow!
