Whether you’re hosting a Halloween party of simply want to make some spooky fun for your family, we have a couple of fun ideas for you. They can be made even more festive with this skeleton platter.
Witch fingers for lunch/dinner, and graveyard dip for dessert. Sounds tasty, right? It’s not like the kids need coercing when it comes time to enjoy pizza and candy, but we made it just a little more exciting. Here’s how:
Witch Finger Pizza
Ingredients:
Frozen pizza
Fruit leather / red bell pepper / other food cut into nail shaped triangles
After baking the pizza, let rest for a few minutes to cool slightly. When cooled, use a pizza cutter to make long thin slices of pizza I made long cuts about a half inch apart lengthwise before I sliced the pizza in half horizontally. This will give you the witch “fingers”.
As for the nails, you can use pretty much anything you have that can be cut into a triangle shape since nails can be any color. I like black, red or green for the nails. Use what you’ve got. I decided on cutting fruit leathers to make the “fingernails”.
Graveyard Candy Dip:
Ingredients:
8 oz. cream cheese at room temperature
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Nestle Crunch Candies, chopped
*I doubled this recipe to use with my 9″x9″ serving dish.
Mix the cream cheese, sugar and vanillas very well. Spoon into serving an 8×8″ square dish.

Add chopped candy to the top making the graveyard appearance complete. You can now add decorations like tombstones and such, and serve with sliced apples or pretzels.

It only took about 13 (funny!) or so fun size crunch bars to make the “dirt”. Then a few more for the tombstones.

These would be great additions to any Halloween party menu. Don’t you think?

the pizza fingers would be so easy to make and the dip looks yummy! we have a halloween party every year so i will save these recipe ideas for next year, although i think the dip could be made any time of the year without the graveyard candy bars!
these are really neat ideas! the kids would love them, perfect for a party!
this is really creative, but I don’t have children and not interested. Will pass along.
Many thanks for these fun recipes…

Cutting the pizza like that into Witch Fingers is such a great idea! Awesome for anyone, but especially perfect for the younger set as – haha – finger food.
