Hair: Philip B® Russian Amber Imperial line

I’ve been highlighting my hair again, which leaves it quite dry. The funny thing is that even with the least bit of humidity my hair is crazy too–just in a different way. I love testing out new haircare products to help me get the right balance and once in a while I come across a really exceptional product line like Philip B.

Before we left for vacation, I received a package with some products from the Philip B® Russian Amber Imperial line. The three products inside the box were the Dry Shampoo, Shampoo and Conditioning Creme.

The first thing I noticed about the shampoo was that it was really thick, almost like the consistency of honey. I added some water to really get my lather on. I followed with the conditioning creme and then I rinsed and styled my hair as usual, with a little argan oil. That may just have been my best hair day ever. My strands were super soft and smooth.

For those days when a shower is not in the cards, the dry shampoo does just the trick. It absorbs the oil in the hair and freshens up your look without weighing hair down.

The one downside to the products are the price tags. Prices range from $28-$150 for each full-sized product. At these prices, they are definitely for special occasions only. But I’m going to end with some good news. The Russian Amber Traveler which I received is being offered for only $130:
