In the summertime, when the weather is warm, we like to barbecue. Food cooked outdoors has many pluses, but I’m a fan for two main reasons. Easy cleanup is the most obvious reason, and I also like keeping the oven off when it’s too hot. No reason to heat up the house and make the air conditioning work harder!
We eat pizza at least once a week year-round, but I never ever thought to grill it. Of course I’d heard it could be done but I just didn’t think I could do it. I followed the instructions; it was easier than I thought and it didn’t take any longer than cooking a pizza in the oven. Tips: Keep the flames on low and keep the lid closed.
Grilled pizza. This is life-changing. A great break from summertime food like burgers and dogs, too.
Tonight our family had a chance to try it grilled and it was completely delicious. It’s one of few ready-made pizzas that actually tastes like pizza. Maybe that’s due to its preservative-free crust, or the fact that it’s made with 100% real Wisconsin cheese, or it could be both of those reasons.
It was a bit chilly tonight so we decided to have our “Summer party” indoors. I love dining al fresco, but we find ourselves eating indoors more often than not in summer, when the heat is oppressive. Spring is my favorite time to dine out on the patio.
What better to compliment a delicious pizza party than dipped cones?
Pizza and ice cream – two of Emma’s new favorite things! Inside the box are three cone types: Vanilla Fudge, Vanilla Caramel and Vanilla. She chose the Vanilla Caramel and proceeded to eat every last bite and drop!
Who could blame her? These are some yummy treats. Inside and out.
