When I was mid-way through my pregnancy, I had swelled so much that my engagement ring and wedding band had to be removed. Now my daughter is almost two, and I am still unable to wear them. I miss wearing the jewelry that means the most in my life, so this year I asked my husband to have them resized for me. In the meantime, I’m wearing a gorgeous stand-in.
The Grace Canary CZ ring from Fantasy Jewelry Box looks a lot like the one that my husband presented to me six years ago, only this one features a yellow stone in the center, and it only costs $24.95. Set in .925 sterling silver and dipped in rhodium, it looks like my original platinum ring. I’m not recommending that guys try and trick their girlfriends into thinking that this is a diamond engagement ring, but this cz engagement ring looks like the real thing!
Faux engagement rings are great for those who can’t afford the real thing (as long as the lady is in on it), or for people in my situation whose rings won’t fit temporarily.
When I was in college, I worked in a silver jewelry store and I recall more than a few customers who bought imitation diamong rings to deter men in bars from hitting on them! Not a bad idea either.
Even if you just want to change things up a bit for the holidays, this is an inexpensive way to do it.
