I remember the days when there was a need to visit several stores just to get all of the food shopping done. If you wanted a special good-for-you item you’d make a stop at the health food store. For something international, a store that specializes in it. Luckily this is not the case anymore as many supermarkets aim to be all-inclusive. As a consumer, I adore the convenience of one-stop shopping, and I love the fact that I can find everything I need right at my local Shoprite.
While my family hasn’t gone completely organic, I do try to do what I can and I buy organic for certain things like milk, eggs, yogurt and some fruits. This expands to other grocery items when the price is right or if it’s not far off from its non-organic counterpart.
My son enjoys eating Annie’s Mac & Cheese and just this week I picked up some Annie’s snacks for the kids now that back to school season is just around the corner. But I was surprised to find Annie’s dressing among the others on the shelf this week. It hadn’t even occurred to me that Annie’s made dressings, so I quickly snapped up one of the lower calorie dressings and the rest of the ingredients to make fresh salad. The dressing can totally make or break your salad, and I’m trying to fall in love with salads again, so I love trying new varieties. This Poppy Seed Lite makes an excellent dip, too! I’m so excited that it’s made without artificial flavors, synthetic colors or synthetic preservatives.
Cascadian Farm is a brand I’d never heard of or seen before, so it’s our first time trying anything from this line of cereals and bars. We decided on the chewy chocolate chip granola bars because the kids don’t yet have a favorite organic version. These bars are certified organic, non-GMO and contain 12g of whole grain per serving. They make a great snack to pack for both kids and adults!
It’s so easy to find good choices at ShopRite. Here’s to a healthy summer filled with good food and family fun.

We discovered Annie’s Homegrown and Cascadian Farms products when our daughter was diagnosed with food allergies. They are so good!

I didn’t know Annie’s made dressing. I love poppyseed dressing so I will have to check it out.

Chewy chocolate chip is always a great choice :) Lately we’ve been hoarding all the summer fruits before they’re gone!

We’ve eaten some products from both Annie’s and Cascadian Farm and were quite impressed with them. We don’t have a Shoprite nearby, that I know of, but we can get some limited products from the aforementioned companies.

We don’t have shopRite in UK but have it in Zambia and I do like having a grocery store here by where I can buy some healthy foods.

I am a ShopRite girl. I live closer to a different chain grocery store but prefer to go to ShopRite. I can always find what I want or need there, and often new interesting things too.

I recently bought some Sicilian Lemon White Balsamic vinegar when I was in New York and now I and mad at myself for not buying the bigger bottle because it is so good.

So many good foods out there that are good for you. Paying attention to what is and is not healthy it’s not always easy to do. I have never tried these snack bars but with school starting up again I’m definitely going to have to buy them.
