Emma has a ton of toys at her disposal, and I often wonder why we have so many things when she tends to play almost exclusively with her kitchen. She loves making me meals and snacks with her pretend food, always getting a kick out of how much I enjoy her culinary creations.
One other way we bond is through baking. Real baking. But I’m not always willing to bring out the ingredients because it’s more work for me with all of the cleaning up I have to do on the back end. When I saw the My Bakery Set, I knew instantly that Emma would love it too. I decided to let her choose a play set from Wonderworld Toys and guess what – she picked it out of the lineup!
The set includes all of the ingredients to make a fancy pastry, along with the tools needed to whip it all up. The bowl, whisk, spatula and rolling pin are great quality and will stand up to the abuse my kid can “dish out”. The other paper items that were included did not. The serving tray, box of flour and the instructional manual did not last very long. But who needs them anyway?
Emma’s enjoying her baking set just as I had hoped she would – and without all of the “real” mess that goes along with baking.
The My Bakery Set from Wonderworld Toys is recommended for ages 3+ and retails for $39.99.
