KidCo has some seriously awesome products. I’m a huge fan of their brand, including the PeaPod that I tested last year. I love their home safety products, and was lucky enough to test out a few new window items recently.
I received the Mesh Window Guard and Window Stop from Kidco, and I was impressed, as always.
The Mesh Window Guard is for a family room window I like to keep open on our elevated first floor, near Jack’s play area and out of my eyesite from my typical stomping grounds in the kitchen. The Window Stop I’m using to replace another brand’s window lock that kept breaking and breaking until finally it just snapped right off the window! Bummer. Our builder installed window locks throughout our second floor before we purchased our home, which is great, but we didn’t have input on the choice of which locks they used. This Kidco I’ve installed as a replacement is located in our nursery, and it has been great so far. Limited moving parts make sure of that.
We have no window safety latches on our first floor windows, but it is elevated, as I mentioned, over a high basement, so falls are still a concern. The mesh window guard will keep Jack from leaning against the screen, which is pretty much all a mother can ask for!
I appreciate the quality, instructions, and durability of both Kidco items and would recommend them to anyone babyproofing.
