When I look back at my sister’s wedding pictures from 2011, besides my baby weight, the thing I hate most about myself (I know, I know, healthy self image, right?) is the visible bra straps I can see below my sheer jacket. As a nursing mom, a bra really wasn’t optional. I had a one shoulder gown with a sheer bolero overtop, and I used an adjustable bra with it and hoped for the best. But my straps were visible under the one shoulder strap almost all night, as evidenced by nearly ever photo. Bummer.
Cute packaging, right? Love the retro feel, and the pink!
What I know now that I wish I did then? That fashion tape is readily available! Fashion Tape Shapes, in particular, would be been so helpful. They’ve just been launched by Hollywood Fashion Secrets, and they retail for just $10! Each pack comes with:
- Trapezoid shapes (4 pieces)-to keep the sides of strapless styles in place
- Curves (6 pieces)-for fronts of strapless styles
- Wide strips (6 pieces)-for heavier garments
- Skinny strips (8 pieces)-for shoe and spaghetti strap
They got here just in time for summer 2012, where I do occasionally brave the bare arms scene; I hate slipping and visible bra straps and now I can actually do something about it. Not only that, Fashion Tape Shapes can help me keep dipping fabric at the underarm area in place, by adhering my shirt directly to my bra. Strapless would be even more possible, if I dared – which I don’t.
