This summer started off with a bang when Emma and I attended a blogger event at Sesame Place. It was just us girls that day and it was so liberating to leave the diaper bag at home and spend a day diaper-bag free with my big girl.
We explored the park on our own during the day, hitting all of our favorite spots. This year, she loves Cookie Mountain:
Big Bird’s Rambling River was a new adventure for us; it was tons of fun! By the way – totally worth renting the locker so that you can enjoy all of the water rides/features without worrying about losing or damaging your stuff.
Later in the evening, we met up with other ambassadors and Sesame Place friends for a “Cupcake Happy Hour” and a special meet and greet with Oscar the Grouch and The Cookie Monster. It took a while for Emma to warm to Oscar, she was terrified at first!
Emma was also delighted meet up with her pal, Jack.
Sadly, that was my first and last visit during the Summer. Due to the extreme heat, I’ve been stuck inside with the baby. But Emma’s been going all summer long with daddy. Now that it’s fall we’ll all be able to go as a family, and we’re all excited about what the season has in store for us!
Disclosure: I am a Sesame Place Ambassador for the 2012 season. Our family is provided with complimentary passes, so that we can share our experiences and offer fun giveaway for our readers.
