Gifting NJ Lottery Tickets for the Holidays

By Heather

Disclaimer: You must be 18 or older to buy a lottery ticket. The New Jersey Lottery reminds players, it’s only a game…remember to play responsibly. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, call 1800-GAMBLER®. For more information visit New Jersey Lottery.

What’s the one gift you feel confident giving to just about everyone when you’re not quite sure what’s on the recipient’s wish list? You may think a coffee shop or restaurant gift card, but what if it’s someone you really don’t know? The person may not like coffee or prefers another brand; maybe they don’t enjoy that restaurant or dining out at all.

One gift that I’m pretty sure has universal approval are New Jersey lottery tickets. The New Jersey Lottery is introducing 4 new Holiday Instant Games: $1 Holiday Cheer, $2 Holiday Luck Times 10, $5 Holiday Sparkle, and $10 Season’s Gold. Who doesn’t enjoy the excitement and anticipation of possibly winning some big cash? It’s a chance that they didn’t have to pay for with top prizes on the Holiday games range from $2 to $1,000,000. If you don’t have a lot of money to spend on gifts, it’s an excellent option with ticket options starting at just one dollar.

Just to show you how easy it is, I’ve created a gift guide outline just who and how you can gift NJ lottery tickets this season.

Gifting NJ Lottery

Mail Carrier
We get so many deliveries at our house throughout the year, and I really do appreciate the men and women who take care of the packages. They carefully bag packages when it’s raining, and many of them will even place packages in our garage if the door is open. I’m prepared with holiday scratch-offs to gift as a token of my appreciation for a job well done. Leave an envelope inside your mailbox for the mailman or hang a clearly marked card from the door for other delivery service reps.

Teachers
How many ‘best teacher on earth’ mugs can an educator receive? Enough of that! Teachers need money for all of those school supplies and maybe a little TLC after shaping minds all day long. That’s something a NJ lottery win could certainly provide.

Stocking Stuffers
In years past, I have wasted quite a bit of money on junk just because it was the right size to fit into a stocking. Lottery tickets fit nicely inside any stocking!

Family and Friends Who Live Far Away
We prefer to send personal notes along with gifts, so oftentimes I’ll ship a package to friends and family so that I can do just that instead of shipping something direct from a retailer. But it can be costly. Lottery tickets weight next to nothing and can easily fit into an envelope along with a Christmas card.

NJ lottery tickets are available at any brick and mortar Lottery retailer. I purchased mine at ShopRite, but sometime we get them at the gas station, and even Wawa now sells them.

I think these are such a treat for people to receive in their stockings. If they won, you’d be such a rockstar gift giver!
