When we received the Disney Fairies Wild Walls from Uncle Milton, Emma’s entire face lit up. She loves Tinker Bell and knows all of the names of her fairy friends. At first she insisted that we put this downstairs in the play room, but Kevin and I convinced her that this would be much more useful to have in her bedroom.
Emma and I had fun placing the decals onto her wall. Decals are great – you can truly customize the decor and it lets you be creative. I was impressed by the size; Tinkerbell herself is over 19 inches tall. We decided on putting them up in the wall directly across from her bed so that she could enjoy the “show” at night before she drifts away to dreamland.
Once we placed the wall decals we were ready for the FX Activator (the unit that provides the light and sounds). The kit comes with a screw for mounting on the wall, but for now we have just propped it on a side chair in the room. It runs on 3 AA batteries.
We turned it on last night and Emma was in awe. It was so cool to see her reaction and hear her say “Wow!” She expected the lights, but I don’t think she expected the nature sounds. The unit will shut off by itself automatically so you don’t have to worry about turning it off when your child has fallen asleep.
I noticed that the decals are peeling from the wall and I’m not sure why, but I just keep smoothing them down and hoping that they’ll stay. There are different Wild Walls themes to suit your child’s interests, from dolphins to dinosaurs.
A sample was received for consideration.
