Genuinely Simple Products Review

By Jennifer

GenuinelySimpleComfreyCreamLogo

I’m a fan of any natural beauty product that works.  That’s why I was happy I found out about Genuinely Simple – the products do work! The Genuinely Simple product line is non-gmo, vegan and only scented with essential oil.  The natural ingredients are: Olive Oil, Shea Butter, Candelilla Wax, Comfrey Root and Leaf and Calendula Flowers.

Their products include Comfrey Cream ($6.99) and Comfrey Hard Lotion Bars ($9.99) which I was happy to try out.

Comfrey is an herb that produces a natural enzyme in its leaves called allantoin. Allantoin helps speed cellular repair while simultaneously suppressing inflammation. This promotes rapid healing. Its commonly used on muscles, tendons, and ligament injuries. However, it is also well known for quick skin damage repair, not limiting to rashes (including diaper rash!), bug bites, eczema and sunburn!

I was thrilled to try out the Comfrey Cream on a small rash that appeared and on my ring finger (I think it was caused by a jeweler’s cleaning solution) and would not go away despite trying lots of repair creams!  I’ll spare you the photo of the before rash, but all it took was a small dab of the cream twice a day and within 2 days it was gone!

Each cream is identical in texture and usage – the Lavender and Peppermint are just scented.   They all have the consistency of petroleum jelly and go on clear:

I love having this on hand for any pesky skin issue and i’m confident that I’m using an all-natural product on my body!

Please check out Genuinely Simple’s website for more information and follow them on Facebook and Twitter for product updates!
