Friday Finds for Spring

By Jennifer

Colorful_spring_garden

Spring is here! Well, on the East Coast it is kind of here…apparently it might snow or rain every other day.  That doesn’t stop me from dreaming of beautiful weather and all things Spring.  Here are some things i’m excited about this Spring!

47668

Sun Bum PRO SPF 30 Clear Face Stick This premium, mineral based sunscreen is specifically designed to offer the very best broad spectrum protection to those who work and play hard in the sun.  Apparently it will never bleed into your eyes, never make your hands slippery, and won’t come off during the most rigorous activities in the water, wind, or blazing hot sun (like chasing after your little ones on the beach)!  Sign me up!

I personally love how small it is.  It literally fits into the palm of my hand and it small enough to make application easy.

Sun Bum PRO is used and trusted by many lifeguard and beach rescue organizations throughout the U.S., including the Hawaiian Water Patrol, the North Shore Lifeguard Association, and the Eastern Surfing Association.

krigler-calif-s

Krigler – Charming California 215 Inspired by the magic of Los Angeles, CA, Ben Krigler and his mother spent two years creating this scent, dedicated to the glamour and exciting possibilities of Los Angeles to compliment their new and first West Coast store at The Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills.  Relaxed and bright, Charming California 215 combines exotic spices with aromatic florals and hearty woods.

The fragrance opens with Coriander and Orange Blossom, combined with Japanese Green Tea. Bulgarian Rose and Brazilian Jasmine mix with delicate French Lily of the Valley for an enchanting heart and Californian Cedar Wood and earthy Sandalwood finish the scent.

I like it because it’s light enough to wear to work, and still has a strong presence of spring scents – i’m a sucker for floral scents.  Apparently those around me like it too based on what i’ve been told!

Price: 3.4 oz/ 100 ml, $315; 1.7 oz/ 50 ml, $215; samples, 2 ml, $16.  You can purchase online or at The Plaza Hotel, NY, NY and The Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills.

unistrip-comfortchew-1000x1000

How about is this lovey blanket for those adorable spring babies? The Cheeky Chompers Unistripe Comfortchew ($29.50) comes in a unisex lime green and turquoise stripes with luxurious cream cuddle fleece reverse with attached cream teether.  The ribbon tags and elasticated link for attaching to the baby’s wrist, cot, car seat, buggy or dummy.

The teether is made with gentle materials and lots of grooves for the baby to chew on. I’m planning on giving this one to my sister for her new baby boy on the way! Love the green/blue colors for boys.  Classic with a hint of preppy.  The Comfortchew is also machine washable and BPA and phthalates free.

no-adI’ve started using NO-AD Anti-aging skincare. It is made with SPF 15 UVA/UVB broad-spectrum protection to prevent wrinkles, Pentavitin® provides up to 36 hours of moisturization and a premium blend of vitamins and antioxidants nourish the skin.

NO-AD Skin Care lotions cost half what competing SPF body lotions do, even without the anti-aging ingredients. Products are now available at select Wal-Mart stores, walmart.com, drugstore.com, and HEB, as well as food, drug, and mass market retailers.

scarawayAs we step into warmer weather, the idea of wearing less makes me cringe a bit. After having a mole removed two years ago which was scraped and biopsied twice, I’m left with a big old nasty scar on my shoulder. I’ve started using Scar Away discs, which are ideal for scars smaller than one inch. They cost $24.99 for a box of 30 discs.

What are your new favorite Spring products?

ScarAway products are great. My son had a scar and we used something like that and now it’s barely there.

I actually have a pretty nice slice on my upper lip right now that I got in my krav maga class on Monday. I am hoping it doesn’t scar, but if it does – I will try that scar away.
