There are so many great kids items out there this summer, and I especially love all the new items that make life easier with the little ones. Here are some items we are enjoying now:
Looking for a way to make brushing fun for your little one? I sure am – i’ve tried glow-in-the dark brushes, princess themes, vibrating – whatever is new. The Violife Rockee Toothbrush ($14.95) is designed to always stay upright by rocking, wobbling and spinning, meaning no more messy toothpaste on your counter or brushes on the floor – and fun for the kids to watch! Available in a variety of cute animals and bright colors, the Rockee features an oval brush head with soft bristles and a comfortable, ergonomically designed handle that fits easily into small hands. Brush comes with two brush heads, and extra set of two brush heads costs on $6.95.
Pampers’ Kandoo Flushable Wipes ($3.99) are a staple in our house for the kids. These hypoallergenic wipes are unscented and moistened to lotion to provide fresh cleaning. Best of all they’re flushable and biodegradable and safe for sewer and septic systems.
I was a little hesitant giving Emma Etymotic’s ETY•Kids Earphones ($39) because I wouldn’t normally pick an earbud style for her, but she actually loves them and says they’re comfortable. Regular headphones leak sound but Etymotic’s ETY•Kids Safe Listening Earphones seal the ear canal and kids naturally turn the sound down when wearing them. With ETY•Kids’ tight seal in the ear, there is no leak and, if kids insist on turning it up, ETY•Kids will govern excessive sound, keeping sounds and music in the ears optimal sweet spot for best fidelity.
Summer Toys
We all know that kids love toys. We like to reward kids with toys when they’ve earned it through good behavior, by working hard at learning or by doing their chores around the house. Here are some fun toys the kids have been enjoying this summer.
Emma was having a really hard time losing her first upper tooth, so along with a bill the tooth fairy gifted her the Twister Moves Skip-It Game ($20). She was over the moon when she discovered it and is now mastering her skills and getting exercise at the same time. Winning!
Ryan has recently fallen for John Deere Lightning Wheels ($20). These are the coolest trucks we’ve seen in a long time. They’re easy to use vehicles that light up when moved. What’s better than this happy face?
Both of my kids were excited to play with Marvel The Avengers Gamma Green Smash Fists ($20). They put on these fits and let their inner hulks come out, and they’re nice and soft so they won’t hurt anybody.
The Playskool Heroes Marvel Super Hero Adventures Helicarrier Vehicle ($25) is another crowd favorite around here. It comes with a War Machine figure that’s sized just right for his little hands and fits in this mobile command center’s cockpit. Other figures can be added for endless super hero adventures!
What’s more fun in the summer that a great water blaster? The Nerf Super Soaker Zombie Strike Dreadshot Blaster ($15) may just be the kids’ new favorite toy, and it keeps them cool while having fun. I’m going to have to get a second so that they can duke it out!
I have been looking for some earbuds for my daughter and all of them are too big. I will have to try the ones your mentioned!
These are great finds. Those toothbrushes are adorable and my girls would love them.
