Good for you Girls is natural skincare made just for girls. As my daughter starts school, I like her to feel fresh and smell great all day long and this body care trio is perfect. It includes body wash, lotion and deodorant all made without parabens, sulfates, phthalates, mineral oils, or synthetic fragrances or dyes. The deodorant is aluminum-free! My daughter loves the way everything smells. The only thing that’s missing is shampoo and conditioner – hopefully GFYG will come out with those, too. (goodforyougirls.com.

Unfortunately back to school also means some sicknesses and boo boos for your little ones. And with boo boos comes bandages! Luckily there is a new collection of first aid products from 3M designed specifically for those with sensitive and fragile skin, particularly infants to school-age children. With reliable adhesion and kind removal, the hypoallergenic products in the Nexcare Sensitive Skin collection offer an option for families of all ages that are affected by skin sensitivity. The line was created in conjunction with research developed by Nexcare Brand on how skin sensitivity can be more than just a nuisance, it can impact day-to-day lives and activities for many families. Results showed that over 9 in 10 parents reported tricks that they use for helping ease the process of pulling off bandages or first aid dressing. Now no special tricks are needed since these are specially formulated for easy removal. (www.nexcare.com)
Laundry is definitely a personal thing – everyone has their routine that i’m sure they are very comfortable with. I used to swear by dryer sheets while my BFF swore by liquid fabric softener. It wasn’t until we were roommates that I realized how soft fabric softener made my clothes! Some people, like me, are often deterred from using liquid fabric softener because in the past, you would have to wait for the rinse cycle before you could even think about adding the softener. Now, just throw your favorite fabric softener into The Downy Ball, it automatically releases softener during the spin cycle which means no delays, no dryer sheets and no mess. (downy.com)
Since we have a little one learning how to read, i’m always looking for a cute stories to add to our book rotation. We were able to check out a preview of LITTLE ELLIOT, BIG FAMILY by Mike Curato. This is the follow-up to the award-winning 2014 picture book debut, LITTLE ELLIOT, BIG CITY. The series is about Elliot, a small elephant with an indomitable spirit who manages to overcome big challenges with the help of his friend Mouse. In the second book, Elliot discovers that families come in all shapes and sizes. It’s an adorable story and perfect for new readers – only one or two sentences on each page/spread. Our little one was so happy she could read along so some of the words like her level 1 books (although there are some bigger words we were happy to teach her). I would recommend this one for sure.

To make mornings easier we do as much as we can the night before. I make all the lunches with the kids and we pick out outfits.
